Research
Exploring how uncertainty can drive innovation and autonomy in education.
“How can we foster a learning environment that encourages free thought, embraces uncertainty, and empowers students to take an active role in their education, even when faced with unpredictable goals and pathways?”
I keep exploring this question—it drives my research. The question reflects a deeper challenge: As the world is becoming more unpredictable, we must dare to rethink how we educate. Preparing students for the future that awaits them means giving them a firm foundation while fostering adaptability and innovation.
Committed to research dissemination, I have presented at conferences both in Norway and internationally. I am actively engaged in several projects within the fields of Pedagogic Research and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), as well as Artistic Research.
Over the past two years, I have led the research project PRISMA at Westerdals, Kristiania University College—exploring new frameworks for innovation and interdiciplinary collaboration in education.
PRISMA
-
PRISMA research group is shaping a new student-centered pedagogy anchored in latest research theories on creativity, innovation and interdiciplinarity. Students working interdiciplinarly develop projects in partnership with external collaborators, merging artistic research, media innovation, and societal engagement. PRISMA received NOK 1 million in internal funding from Kristiania University College for the period 2023-2024. Spearheaded by staff and students at the Westerdals Department of Film and Media (WIFM), the PRISMA research group aims to equip students with the skills needed to contribute to change and innovation in respecitve fields of study.

Project: The Use of Digital Tools and Formative Assessment
-
Feedback is an essential component of the learning process, and the use of technology and digital tools to provide feedback on student work has significantly increased in recent years. Consequently, this research project employs qualitative methods to investigate the impact of integrating formative assessment with the latest digital tools in the classroom. Currently, I am conducting interviews to gather insights and data for this project.
Status: Conducting interviews to gather insights and data
